Khal-Durn, the namesake of the Dragonborn city that lies below Hjaldrein, is angered by the intrusion of non-Dragon races on her place of torment. She has been lying below the Dwarven city preventing it from crushing the legacy of the Dragonborn for centuries, waiting for someone to come and pass it on. The non-dragon party that happens upon her faces her wrath to this track.
Musically, this tune lifts lines from a lot of the previous music. The B section is literally a straight lift of Khal-Durn's somber belltower rendition of her theme, then played again with a straight lift of her daughter Khal-Ruhn's theme over the top of it, with the last few notes of the countermelody being the theme of Fardan Outpost/Hjaldrein.
It was an exciting piece to create! I hope it's exciting to listen to. :D
